I have recently returned to my roots as a painter but this time in a  new medium, painting on hats instead of canvas.

I begin my process by making a pattern of the brim on paper and sketching out my design. Everything is drawn free hand in pencil, then painted. When I am happy with the design, I begin painting it on the actual hat, layer by layer. Each hat is a labor of love, taking anywhere from 8-16 hours total depending on the intricacy of the design, color scheme, shading etc. These hats can be displayed on the wall when not being worn. They are truly wearable art!
